Macs infected with Trojan Virus

This last week the news broke about a new Mac virus. While this is not the first Mac virus, this virus did infect a lot of machines. At last report over 600,000 Macs are infected with this virus. This virus take advantage of a Java exploit that also affect Windows machines, but patched a while back, but at Apple patching process takes longer it took longer for the Mac update to come out to fix the exploit. F-Secure have a manual removal directions for those who think they might already be infected. For the rest you need to update your Java.

Confusion over Google Fiber coming to Kansas City

Google Fiber In recent news coverage there has been confusion about Google plan for fiber in Kansas City. On Sunday, April 1st, 2012 Google posted a webpage to help clear up the confusion between Google’s plans for high speed Internet and Google plans to bring Fiber to Kansas City.
Kansas City being a city know for great Bar-B-Q and Steaks should be very excited about getting this new source for fiber. Google cares about the health of people in KC. Please visit the webpage and become apart of the movement in KC.

How to get into your computer’s BIOS

When working on a computer, from time to time, you might need to get into the computer BIOS. You might need to reset the time, or change the boot order, or other changes. BIOS stands for Basic Input/Output System firmware of an IBM PC-compatible computer. There are different type of BIOS and there are different ways of accessing those BIOS. Internet Traffic in 2012

As we start out the new year 2012 we are coming into a year where we can see some big spikes in Internet traffic due to big events. Many of these events will not only be shown on TV but also one the Internet. The fist big event of the year is the Superbowl. In the summer we have the Summer Olympics, and throughout the year and ending in November the US Elections. This is just the major events. There are other events and things that are yet unknown.
Last year was the Arab Spring, and the earthquake and tsunami in Japan and other events.
